Preplanning for your pet's cremation or burial allows you to make these tough decisions at a less stressful time.

When you preplan for your pet's final disposition, it will give you time to carefully compare services offered by pet cemeteries and crematories in your area so your pet will receive the dignity and respect they deserve.

There are several things you must be aware of when preplanning for any cremation or burial of your pet.

You must require the company providing you the service to complete and sign a full disclosure agreement. This will give you all the pertinent information you need to assure that the monies paid into the Preplanning account are protected for you and there is no chance for loss of your money.

Any monies paid into the Preplanning account should be deposited within 30 days of receipt into an irrevocable trust account that is managed by a FDIC regulated financial institution. These funds should not be available to anyone until you sign a release at the time the cremation or burial is provided. The financial institution should also provide you with a statement verifying the amount of money that you have deposited into your account.

When you preplan for your pet's burial or cremation and pay for them in advance, the prices should be frozen at the current rate. If you use the service 5 to 10 years later any interest accumulated in the account will be given to the service provider to offset any increase in price of the service.

Please don't wait until the inevitable happens. Preplan for your pet's cremation or burial today so you can have peace of mind!!!
